There are a few WayneDalton openers still in use. They were perhaps ahead of their time. Instead of using wiring the various components would wirelessly communicate with each other. So batteries had to be changed on a regular basis. In addition they had developed a proprietary wall mounted, jackshaft type, opener called the iDrive. Like all wall mounted jackshaft operators that are so popular today they would fail on a routine basis giving it a bad name.
